Abigail Kruep

My name is Abigail, and I love the beach, coffee, puppies, and most importantly, teaching math! Read below to learn more about me and how I began tutoring my favorite subject.

Hi! My name is Abigail and I am about to be a freshman in college studying aerospace engineering. Math has always been a subject that I am passionate about, and I have taken classes all the way through calculus two. I started tutoring in 2021, and quickly learned I loved it. I originally worked at Mathnasium, but moved to private tutoring in the fall of 2022. I love working with the kids, and I especially enjoy getting to chat and learn about their week before diving into math. I have experience working with all levels of math, from first grade addition to algebra two and geometry. Additionally, I have a lot of experience working with kids with learning disabilities, and love teaching them new ways to understand the concepts. My biggest goal in tutoring is to teach the kids I work with to become confident in their math skills, and to help them realize that they are able to do math on their own. 

Something that is very important to me in my tutoring sessions is creating a space in which your child feels comfortable and excited about learning. While I do not believe in slacking off, I love to be able to provide a space for them to rant or share or tell me about whatever is happening in their lives, because I believe it makes them feel more comfortable and confident working with me.  I never want your child to dread their session, so I am open to working with them in whatever way they feel the most comfortable. If you have any questions for me, feel free to reach out anytime on any of my social media pages, or contact me directly at my cell, 813-444-7161!
